Title: Logistics Analyst
Duties:
- Prepare and review import/export documentation, customs entries, and shipment records in accordance with U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), FDA, EPA, and USMCA requirements.
- Ensure all shipments meet federal, state, and international import regulations and trade compliance standards.
- Coordinate with customs brokers, freight forwarders, suppliers, and internal departments to facilitate smooth and timely clearance and delivery of goods.
- Monitor and track shipments in transit; proactively resolve customs delays, carrier issues, and delivery disruptions.
- Leverage systems engineering principles to analyze and optimize import workflows, including documentation, compliance checks, and cost analysis.
- Identify and mitigate risks related to importing processes, including tariff impacts, delays, and supply chain bottlenecks.
- Negotiate rates and services with vendors and logistics providers to ensure cost-effective and reliable transportation.
- Stay current with updates to international trade agreements, tariffs, customs regulations, and compliance best practices.
- Knowledge of Central American customs law.
Requirement: B.A. in Systems Engineering
Salary range: $49,899 per year
Hours: 40hrs per week from Monday-Friday – 9-5 P.M.
